Hallmark Channel concluded their Countdown to Christmas Bus Tour at the Blue Hill at Stone Barns outside of NYC. The talented Sheyda Best and I had worked on artwork for Hallmark’s holiday style guide and had the opportunity to customize holiday prints for Hallmark Stars and guests at the event! We had the best time exploring the grounds, enjoying the amazing food and working hard to hand-letter and embellish over 200 prints during the evening. I’m so appreciative of the chance to visit this beautiful venue and it was surreal to see our artwork applied at such a large scale!
October in NYC
I had to capture a few snapshots around the city when my co-worker Sheyda and I were in NYC. It was a quick trip but we were able to enjoy beautiful weather in Central Park, dinner with my college friend Claire and a bit of shopping at ABC Carpet & Home. Until next time, NYC!
Cheekwood Snapshots
A few camera snapshots of Grant at Cheekwood.
Belmont Family Weekend
Grant and I joined EB & GPa in Nashville for Grace’s 2024 Family Weekend! Grant was a great travel buddy and I absolutely LOVE the family photos we received at check-in. We spent lots of time walking around campus (despite the rain), enjoying family meals at our Airbnb and even had a chance to meet up with some friends. Can’t wait to be back to visit Grace soon!
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana
Dale and I just returned from a magical week enjoying the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana with our friends Haley & Colton and Megan & Matt. It was surreal to have a moment to step away from our responsibilities and truly relax, enjoy the beach, and spend time with wonderful friends!
Around The Web: Q1 2024
While my around the web posts are some of my favorite, this year has really gotten away from me! Going forward I plan to share quarterly, starting this month. Easter is early this year, so I loved getting to pick out Grant’s Easter basket! While he probably will enjoy it more next year, these are special days getting to watch our little guy experience the world – especially each holiday. Soon I will post Grant’s milestones photos/notes and we can’t believe we are already celebrating his first birthday! Here are a few links I wanted to take note of the first few months of the year:
I’m obsessed with the Easter basket we got for Grant this year! It’s no longer available but if it is back for 2025 RUN to Crate&kids!
To start the year here is a fun recap of color trends for 2024 as well as a guide to current fashion micro-trends.
Dale loves Khruangbin and we both enjoyed this animated video!
I have such fond memories of visiting Le Bon Marché on my very first trip to Europe so was excited to see this current installation/shopping experience!
Bookmarking this list for future secondhand shopping!
Unfortunately, Ottobroke one of my beloved bedroom lamps so I’m considering a pair of these to sit on the dresser.
Also on the hunt for some more toy storage in Grant’s room. This bench could be an option!
A few momming articles that caught my eye recently: one on Instagram parenting classes, one about Dr. Becky (I’m reading Good Inside currently!), and the hilarious reality of bringing a new baby home for the first time (at least for us!)
Love following Carly’s family, her boys are the cutest! Would love to get Grant a shamrock sweater for next St. Patrick’s Day!
I would love to check out this local bookstore in KC soon, BLK + BRWN.
Thinking we may need to order these with Grant’s face to keep his dino baby theme going!
And finally two favorite recent recipes: Broccoli Pesto Pasta and Instant Pot Pad Thai
Happy Spring!
